GOD feeds the Birds?!!!

Matthew 6:26 - Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

Circa April 2002! Can't believe its been 17 years! But it seems like maybe a few months!

The Lord Jesus had touched me in HIS magnanimous mercy a few months back, on December 27, 2001, right on the brink of me giving up on my life.

I had started reading the Bible and then I bumped into Matthew 6:26 - "God feeds the birds"!

Now, that sounded really baffling to me!  Cuz, according to the stats there are about 400 billion birds out there! And God feeds them all?!!! How could that be?!!!

I struggled with this, being a babe in Christ! Weighing up God's Word which is the Truth with the facts out there! I prayed! I asked God! To please show me! "Lord, Do you really feed all the birds?" How?!!!

So here was I working at a company which had its office at the 10th floor of a building! Great View! And my workstation was placed right next to the transparent glass window! I had been sitting at that place for quite a few months now!

A few days later! At the start of the week, I log into my system around 9:00 a.m.  Getting all set up to get my work going! When! All of  Sudden! I see a very unusual sight outside of my window!

A bird of all things! So here comes the bird! Perches itself right outside of my window! And guess what! It has got a worm in its mouth!!! It sits right there and takes it own time to eat the worm and then flies off!!! The thing is! I forgot about the prayer I made a few days back! Maybe I thought that lil' prayer of mine was too inconsequential to the GOD of the Heaven and Earth to answer it!!!

Next morning! I log into my workstation! Same time! Same place! After maybe a few minutes had passed, after I was all ready to get my work going! Boom!!!  As I watch outside of my window, a beautiful exotic bird, swoops down and perches itself right outside of my window! And Yes! It had a worm in its beak! The bird sat right there in my full view and had its "breakfast" and whooshed away!!! Still! It didn't hit my pessimistic, unbelieving mind! It just didn't sink in that the Great GOD of the Universe was answering my prayer!

You wouldn't believe it, but every day for the rest of the week, one beautiful species of a bird would come right outside my window and eat its "breakfast" and fly away! The "breakfast" ranged from different kind of worms to different kinds of herbs and leaves. And then it sank in! GOD was answering my prayer "LIVE!!!"

I was in total awe!!!! That GOD could answer an inconsequential prayer of an imperfect newbie like me!!! I was so overwhelmed! Repented of my unbelief and thanked the LORD for HIS answer!

God's Word is True! God is a Good God and a Loving FATHER!

You are precious to GOD! HE loves You unconditionally!! No prayer is inconsequential to GOD! So let's boldly approach the Throne of GOD in JESUS Name  and our FATHER in Heaven will surely answer our prayers according to HIS perfect fill!
